Boy askes girl. Girls says yes.

We were engaged on Oct 11, 2008 which is our 5 year anniversary. We went ring shopping a few times so I knew it was coming but no clue as to when/where/how/what. We went into the city for the night (hotel/dinner/etc) and after we checked in K asked if I wanted to take a walk down the lake to take some pics of the skyline. So we trek down Michigan Ave among the tourists and make it to Grant Park for some ice cream and pics with a stop at the Bean. He wants to continue further down the lake to Shedd, (with much complaining on my end due to the wrong shoes!) and on we go. We get to the lawn in front of the Shedd and K continues up on the grass to get some pics while I sit on the ledge people watching. He asks if I'll take a picture of us with the city in the back ground since I'm much better at that then he is. I comply and afterwards he says he has a question to ask me and I'm like what? He again says, he has a question for me and this time I realize what's happening and start to cry with my hands over my mouth. He gets down on one knee, tells me he loves me and wants to continue our journey together for the rest of our lives and asks if I'll marry him. Of course the answer is yes and over 3 weeks later, I'm still on Cloud 9 that it actually happened!
